“Winners make a habit of manufacturing their positive expectations in advance of the event.” – Brian Tracy
Have you heard the saying, “It’s all in your mind?” There is truth in these five words.
When we think negatively, we attract negative things into our lives. When we think positively, we attract positive things. Positive things keep us focused on our good habits. You can think yourself into a place of positivity, allowing your thoughts to work for you, not against you. Naturally, we are built for the negative to scream and the positive to only whisper. That’s why the pledge below positions your mind in the direction that gives energy to forward-thinking momentum.
Living with a positive attitude requires fierce intentionality, yet it delivers an inward fulfillment that brings joy, contentment, and peace to one's soul.
The Positive Pledge
I pledge to be a positive person and have a positive influence on my family, friends, and those who influence me in life.
I promise to be positively contagious and share more smiles, laughter, encouragement, and joy with those around me.
I vow to stay positive in the face of negativity.
When I am surrounded by pessimism, I choose optimism.
When I feel fear, I choose faith.
When I want to hate, I choose love.
When I want to be bitter, I will choose to get better.
When I experience a challenge, I will look for opportunities to learn and grow.
When faced with adversity, I will find strength.
When I experience a setback, I will be resilient.
When I meet failure, I will move forward toward future success.
With vision, hope, and faith, I will never give up and will always move forward toward my destiny.
My best days are ahead of me, not behind me.
I’m here because my purpose is more significant than my challenges.
Being positive makes me better and makes everyone around me better.
So, I will be positive today and every day and strive to intentionally impact the world positively.
Intentionally Own It: When considering the message above, what personalized action does it encourage me to take? What makes this growth matter to me? How can I count on myself to move in this direction? When I do, what will I gain?
