“I’ve been given this life, what am I called to do with it?”
The people that know the answer to this question, they’re the ones that live highly intentional and inspired.
Inspired people believe they are here for a purpose and understand why it matters. They believe they have strengths that can somehow make this world a better place.
Here are three personal drivers that distinguish every intentional person.
Purpose. This is your personal mission statement. Your why. It defines how the world is better because you are here. It gives direction to your life. It’s about your whole life not just your work. It helps you see how the world is a better because you are here.
Vision. Make your vision authentic. Make it magnetic. Make it excite you. Make it a compelling picture of what your ideal life and career looks like. Set your course as to where you are going. Let the vision of who you will be five years from now inform how you prioritize your life now. It’s natural to have fear when your vision is big enough. You don’t grow yourself by being in your comfort zone. Visualize where you are going and believe you belong there!
Values. Your values are what matter most to you – the essence of who you are. They show up on an everyday basis. When you keep them top of mind daily, they will guide how you go about carrying out your vision and your purpose. Research shows us that vision and values pull us forward because they inspire. Studies also show that when you let your values drive your goals, you’re more likely to persevere when obstacles and setbacks appear. Why? Because values are valuable to us and what’s valuable, we work to get.
What does your on-purpose life look like?
