That feeling is already in your mind and maybe even your body…Regardless of the type of weekend you had, you dread Monday.
Suppose this is your attitude every … single … week. Yikes! That’s a lot of time spent not enjoying life.
Here’s a challenge to us - flip it - by viewing Mondays as new beginnings. As opportunities to set fresh goals with hope and anticipation of what will transpire in the seven days ahead.
No matter our circumstances — there is a purpose each day. Mondays are no different.
Maybe it will be a good day. Perhaps it will be a difficult one. But don’t let a mindset of dread steal your joy 52 Mondays a year. Over a lifetime, that can add up to thousands of days of not allowing your attitude to shine brightly.
We are to shine as brightly on Mondays as any other day. Let’s accept that “the best weeks start on Monday!” and prepare ourselves with thankful hearts, intentional attitudes, and a deep sense of hope every … single … week.
I find that Mondays tend to challenge my attitude the most, which led me to design these two exercises. When embraced, I’m equipped to live steadfastly because I’ve decided [in advance] who I visualize myself being. I trust it will cast down negativity, wrong thoughts, and attitudes for you, too, should these routines be added to your life.
Intentionally Own It Attitude:
- Participate in our Happy Friday reflective resource. Sign-up here.
- Embrace the7 B’s mindset exercise, which prompts you to decide your daily attitude in advance.
Be: Who will I be today? Why do I value this type of attitude?
Believe: What am I believing is possible?
Become: How will I grow with intentionality today?
Blessed: What are my blessings?
Bless: Who will I intentionally bless, and how?
Brilliance: What uplifting statement will I say to myself and believe?
Bookend each day by asking…
In the morning: “What will I do with intentionality today?”
In the evening: “What did I do with intentionality today?”
