The more we speak about something, the more of that something we have. For example, if you talk about all the things you don’t like, you’ll start to dislike them even more, but talking about who and what you love will increase the ability to love in your life.

Very few people learn this lesson: Love the life you have and never compare yourself, or what you have, to anyone else. I want to encourage you to learn to love every moment. If there’s something you really dislike in your life, change it if you can. If you realize you can’t change it – work at changing your perspective. As Reinhold Neibuhr said: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

The more you’re filled with loving thoughts and the more you speak loving words, the happier you will be.

Intentionally Own It! Choose to focus on the good things in your life, and make a commitment to yourself that you’ll deal with your frustrations in the right way.
