As we approach the time of year that stirs awareness around the topic of gratitude, my heart is led in the direction of two arising themes that knot together: intentionality and relationships.
Recently, I heard Ed Mylett speak on the topic of, “The Power of One More.” He placed emphasis on not taking for granted the things we do every day that bring meaning to our lives. Pause and think, what is that for you? Who and what brings meaning to your life?
When you gain clarity on what “that” is, the image you see draws you in and pulls you forward. It guides you to make conscious choices that stack up and help you build an incredible life of selfless significance.
As you sit in this season of thanksgiving and gratitude, I encourage you to decide for yourself what “the power of one more” could mean to you. How may your life expand if you genuinely embraced the depth of this statement and chose to…
Make one more call? Answer one more call? Hold one more conversation? Share one more smile? Compliment one more person? Transfer one more word of encouragement? Send one more uplifting text? Give one more hug? Diffuse one more disagreement? Ask one more question? Step away from one more fear? Step into one more conversation that matters? Take one more risk? Stay outside of your comfort zone one more day? Lean into one more … whatever the wisest next action is for you.
Start where you are … “one more day” at a time and watch your whole world change.
