What if I said, “There’s one thing I want to tell you that will really turn around your life?”
If I said this, I bet you would sit up straight and listen.
Well, here’s what it is: Focus on the positive things in life.
Positive thoughts play a huge role in creating a positive life. On the other hand, our lives can also become miserable by having a mind full of negativity. Continuous negativity is a life destroyer. If we have a negative mind, we will have a negative life. Many of our struggles are rooted in wrong thinking patterns.
Like it or not, we actually have more to do with how our lives turn out than we realize. Thoughts affect emotions, and both affect the body, so learning how to think right is actually mandatory for good health.
Our mind leads the body, not the other way around.
Today you can make a decision that you’re going to have a healthy, positive mind. You’ll always have good things and bad things happen and you can walk in sunshine, regardless. You control your inward attitude.
…choose to think about what you’re thinking about. Hold your thoughts to a higher standard.
…choose to find positive things to talk about with friends and family.
…choose to focus on the positive qualities about the people you do life with.
…choose to take responsibility for your own happiness. Laugh. Smile. Find fun activities.
…choose to think strong. If you think strong you’ll be strong. If you think weak, you’ll be weak.
…choose to be defiant toward dread! You can’t be filled with joy and dread at the same time. You can either be powerful or pitiful, but you can’t be both. You get to choose one.
…choose what you are going to set your mind on today. Whatever you choose to focus on becomes the biggest thing in your life. It expands. Be incredibly intentional about what needs to expand and put that before you each day and watch it grow. When you focus on the good things you drown out the bad things.
Bottomline, choose to hold your thoughts accountable. The mind is the leader and forerunner of all actions.
