Is love the main theme of your life? If not, it’s probably time to make a change. We often seek things we think are important but aren’t as important as our attitude toward loving people unselfishly.

Keep your love stirred up by considering taking a regular and honest inventory of your love walk. Do you purposely walk in love? Do you even really know what love is? It is undoubtedly more than theory or speech. Love is seen in our behavior toward one another. Love is doing things for people, especially when it’s inconvenient, building people up, taking time for one another, and seeking the best in others.

Talk is easy; action is real love.

Love can be described quite eloquently, but the real power of love is seen in how we treat one another. Are we patient, kind, humble, ready to believe the best, not easily provoked or offended, and prepared to lay aside our rights for others? Are we willing to quickly and frequently forgive and not keep records of wrongs we have suffered? The willingness to do these things is what love is all about.

Love is an effort. It’s choosing to take the narrow road where you’ll find people willing to treat others as they want to be treated.

Intentionally Own It Reflection: What will bring me toward letting love and kindness be the main themes of my life? What value will this attitude add to my life and others?
