The key to leadership is found in personal growth; these Monday morning messages + our Friday reflection are designed on this truth. They are aimed to positively shape our tone and perspective for the week ahead and offer inspiration to grow personally.
I recently read a quote by Joyce Meyer: "When your inner life is not producing who you want to be on the outside, don’t be discouraged; just be willing to change.” I know from experience we cannot change our destination overnight, but we can change our direction overnight. There’s power in our intentional shifts – for us + others. Our willingness to grow changes lives because how we see the world determines the world we see.
Intentionally Own It Reflection: Try this experiment. Sit and think some good thoughts on purpose about someone you know, and see how much better you feel yourself. If you keep it up, you will notice changes in that person’s attitude toward you. One reason that an individual will change is because you will have changed.
Be willing to lean toward yourself … to see + do life differently than most. Be open to working out wrong attitudes that aren’t producing anything positive; be willing to work in the right attitudes that add value and multiply value to others.
The greatest gift you can give somebody is your own personal development. I used to say, “If you take care of me, I will take care of you.” Now I say, “I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me.” – Jim Rohn
