Your life holds great significance when you can positively influence the lives of others. Influence, much like a candle, can make everything better. It is your choice to light the candle of influence, and in doing so, you add value to the lives of others.
Keep in mind that you hold a candle of influence in your hand, and the kind of difference it makes depends on your actions. Your influence can be a plus or a minus in the lives of others.
To add value intentionally…
Implement the 30-second rule and say something positive to someone within the first 30 seconds of meeting them.
Compliment people in front of others. Everyone likes to be appreciated, especially when others can hear it.
Be the first to offer help; the first person to provide a helping hand is always remembered. Don’t wait for others to initiate; take the lead.
Be an encourager, as encouragement is like oxygen for the soul. Everyone does better when they feel encouraged.
Listen with your heart, as people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Your values reflect the kind of influence you have on others. As you live by good values, your candle will shine brightly, illuminating the path for others.
Intentionally Own It: Be a person of purpose by making a conscious effort to keep your candle lit and spread positivity and kindness wherever you go.
