To help you achieve and maintain a new level of contentment in your life, I encourage you to carve out some quiet time to make a list of everything you have to be thankful for. It should be a long list; one that includes the little things as well as the big things.

Why should it be long? Because we all have so much to be thankful for, and we’ll see these things if we just look for them. (No matter how bad life gets, there is always something you can be thankful for).

Get out a piece of paper and start listing things you have to be thankful for. Keep the list and add to it frequently. Make it a point to think about the things that you’re grateful for when you’re driving, waiting in line, or whatever you might be doing throughout the day. You can only learn the power of thankfulness by practicing it intentionally.

When you meditate on what you have to be grateful for every day and verbalize it, it will be amazingly helpful to your thoughts, life and heart. And when your inward attitude is right, your outward attitude and behavior matches.

…being positive and choosing to find something to be thankful for adds healthy energy to your life!

Intentionally Own It! Commit to adopting this daily practice. It will help turn potential stumbling blocks into stepping stones – ensuring that you don’t get stuck in a place you should only be passing through.
