I recently found a few articles lingering in one of my “Happy Monday” files. One in particular caught my attention, it’s titled: To Inner Joy by Leigh Anne Bryant. What captured me is that what she wrote, back in October of 2005, is absolutely relevant to our reality today.
Six ways to be a stronger, happier and more compassionate person:
C’mon, get happy! A smile helps you connect with family, friends, neighbors and strangers, and that connection is what life is all about.
Accentuate the positive. Choose to be cheerful, not because the world is a great place all the time, but because it’s better when you embrace it with a positive spirit.
Learn to be resilient. How quickly (or not) do you bounce back from adversity? The more flexible you are, the easier it is to deal with life’s stresses.
Discover your compassionate self. As Mother Theresa has shared, “We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
Reveal your authentic self. Be you in the most natural state.
Accept others for who they are. Learn to accept and celebrate differences.
