August 24, 2020
The first half of 2020 hasn’t been what anyone expected.
Here’s a vital question to ask yourself: Do you believe you have the competence, confidence and ability to sustain this difficult time so you will have a more brilliant future than anything you’ve experienced in the past?
Many people are asking, “where do I begin in planning for the future?” Below are two prevailing answers:
1. Stop Comparing: Comparison is going to impede your health, stall your growth and cripple the people around you. Stop comparing yourself to others and stop comparing yourself to the goals you set at the beginning of 2020 – those need to be reframed. Don’t pick up the pieces and try to put the same box together – go envision a new box!
2. Get serious about your intentional think time: The need for serenity is amplified when the world around you is chaotic. Find a time and place where you can break away from the chaos to get centered – to build and dream. Reach deep into the vision and purpose that is already within you and begin to envision what the future will look like. It’s yours to draft and boldly own!
I’ll close with a statement from my friend, Steve Coleman. “Our daily conversations with clients tell us that there are many options as we look up and look ahead. Do something for your future. Take a risk. Scare yourself by doing something really new. Worst option is waiting. Our purpose now is to bring hope.”
What hope can you bring to your life and the lives of others? Each day presents us with 86,400 ticks of the clock. You get to decide how many of them matter.
Choose to cultivate an attitude of hope in your life. Make a daily decision to be a prisoner of hope! – Joyce Meyer
