People create success in their lives by focusing on today. – John Maxwell
I often repeat, “Be where my feet are. Trust where my feet are.” This mantra centers my soul on living moment-by-moment, confidently trusting God.
We often seek tools and tactics to enrich our lives and inspire us “to be and trust where our feet are.” I’ve found that integrating the questions below into my morning routine helps position my head, heart, and habits to live and lead Inward. Forward. Onward.
Inward. Meditate on what matters most.
Forward. Visualize what matters most.
Onward. Pray toward what matters most.
Who will I be today?
This helps you visualize your attitude, empowering you to be “that!”
What am I grateful for?
The happiest people are deliberately grateful. Gratitude is an antidote to fear. It reprograms the brain's negativity bias.
Where am I winning?
It trains your brain to focus on the micro improvements, which protect your hope, give you energy, and create momentum.
What will I let go of today?
A great mindset with a toxic heartset doesn’t get very far. Let go of what’s draining you.
What does my ideal day mindset look like?
Intentions are created. Decide what you will do with intentionality.
Who will I bless?
The Japanese have a term called Intoku, which means “to give in secret.” Every day offers an opportunity to do something for someone not expecting it, to be a secret gift giver. Giving with the intention of service and doing it anonymously when possible is a great way to fill your life with the wealth money can’t buy.
Who and what will influence me?
Many people's most common habit and weakness is allowing others to think for them, which opens their minds to other people's negativity. Control the door to the influence that shapes your attitude and life. Our dominating thoughts become millions of the same “brand,” and our subconscious mind works with the matter we feed it.
Intentionally Own It! What personalized growth does this message encourage me to pursue, and why does it matter? When will I take action, and what value will it add to my life and the lives of others when I do?
